About Me

Empathic

I’m Sujatha, an Integrative Psychotherapist and Mindfulness Coach. My journey into therapy was inspired by my own transformative experiences, alongside a long career in global Human Resources across India, North America, and England. During that time, I saw how unresolved emotional patterns and cultural expectations can quietly affect every part of life—from relationships and self-worth to purpose and identity.

Born in India and having lived in England for many years, I understand the layered experience of navigating multiple cultural identities. Balancing differing expectations within families, communities, or workplaces can be emotionally exhausting and isolating. These experiences inform my culturally sensitive, trauma-informed approach, helping clients navigate identity transitions, intergenerational dynamics, and the emotional labor of being “in between” cultures.

I provide a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore life’s challenges, build resilience, and reconnect with their authentic selves. Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, or the lingering effects of childhood experiences, therapy can provide insight, clarity, and renewed perspective. I also offer sessions in English, Tamil, Hindi, and Marathi, honoring the healing power of speaking in the language that feels most natural.

Through my coaching practice, I combine therapeutic insight with professional experience, supporting clients in aligning their personal wellbeing with professional goals, exploring unconscious patterns, and unlocking their potential. My approach is rooted in client-led discovery, helping you cultivate clarity, resilience, and authentic success while being truly seen, understood, and supported.

My Integrative Practice

I believe therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Each person brings their own story, values, and way of seeing the world. That’s why I take an integrative approach, blending CBT, psychodynamic, and humanistic methods with Sandplay Therapy, mindfulness, and coaching when appropriate.

At the heart of my work is listening deeply and being fully present. I aim to understand your experiences, feelings, and patterns shaping your life. Together, we explore these patterns, develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others, and move toward a more connected, empowered, and fulfilling life.

When I first started seeing Sujatha, I was in a really dark place after coming out of an abusive relationship. I felt broken, anxious, and unsure of who I was anymore. From the very beginning, Sujatha made me feel completely safe, there was no judgment, just genuine care and understanding. She helped me make sense of everything I’d been through, and little by little, I started to rebuild my confidence. Sujatha guided me to see my own strength and helped me set boundaries that I never thought I could. Her kindness, patience and the way she explains things have trul...

Losing my child was the most painful experience of my life. I didn’t know how to cope or even begin to process what had happened. When I started seeing Sujatha, I was just trying to survive each day. She offered such a warm and understanding space where I could talk, cry, and just be without feeling like I had to hold it all together. Sujatha never rushed me or tried to “fix” the grief, instead, she helped me learn how to live with it, to find small ways to cope and honour my child’s memory. Her compassion and gentle guidance have helped me start to find moments o...

Working with Sujatha has been one of the best decisions I took in my life. She took me under her wing at my lowest and has helped me see new perspectives, explore different aspects of reality and shown me that there is always light at the end of the tunnel even when you don’t believe it. I started working with her at the beginning of 2024 and it was safe to say, I was at the lowest I could be potentially, after going through quite traumatic events and suffered a lot of loss, betrayal and pain in both physical and emotional ways, I didn’t think I would recover. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Sujatha over the last two years. She has displayed a professional, kind, caring and flexible approach. Sujatha has delivered sessions to vulnerable children requiring a safe space to speak freely and feel listened to. The children Sujatha has worked with have formed positive relationships with her and have engaged well. Each week they look forward to their session, this is entirely down to the environment Sujatha has created and the calm approach she adopts. The children have found the sessions fun, engaging and useful...

Having been going for counseling with Sujatha over the past few months, Sujatha has helped me open up and look into my childhood experiences growing up by understanding how such events have and continue to impact me today. She has helped me understand how previous experiences can have a psychological impact on one’s mental well-being; values; morals and ultimately, shape them into the person that they are today. Despite some previous experiences being difficult to talk about, she has calmly and empathetically helped me question and explore my childhood by being cu...
