My therapeutic approach integrates interpersonal, family systems, and attachment-based perspectives, all grounded in a trauma-informed lens. Our work may focus on healing past pain, easing disconnection, and addressing unresolved loss, while also creating space for relationships and experiences that bring joy, meaning, and fulfillment.

What to Expect in a Session

Your first session is an opportunity to explore your background, current concerns, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. It’s a chance to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and begin shaping a therapeutic approach that feels right for you.

In subsequent sessions, we may engage in:

  • Reflective conversations to deepen self-understanding
  • Guided exercises to explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns
  • Emotional processing to work through challenging experiences
  • Skills-building techniques to manage stress, anxiety, or relational difficulties
  • Progress tracking and goal setting to monitor growth and change

I take an experiential approach, meaning we focus on what’s happening for you in the moment — your thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and how your cultural and personal context shapes your experiences. I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals, an evidence-based model that clarifies emotional patterns, particularly in the context of relationships.

Together, we’ll work on shifting the cycles that keep you feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsettled, while recognising and honouring the influence of your culture, identity, and life experiences. This helps create space for greater clarity, stronger connections, and a deeper sense of inner peace. Every session is designed to support you in understanding yourself more fully, developing new ways of coping, and creating meaningful, culturally-informed change in your life.
